1st International Workshop on
QoS & Mobility in Cognitive Communications (QMCC’11)
in conjunction with CrownCom 2011
31st May 2011, Osaka, Japan
Welcome to QMCC’11 @ CrownCom 2011
Cognitive Radio Networks research has become a mature area, and the application of CRN technology as a complementing communication system moves closer.
Undoubtedly, there are plenty of hurdles to be overcome but there are already many potential solutions, or approaches to solve the problems.
Combining opportunistic use of spectrum with managed Quality of Service (QoS) and seamless mobility will be one of the main issues to be overcome.
To this end the efficient use of spectrum and energy, co-existence with and protection of other services, a good and affordable user experience, and
opening up of the mobile markets are driving forces for wider acceptance and, eventually, deployment of Cognitive Radio Networks.
The scope of the workshop is on collaboration and cross-fertilisation of CRN research, between the three ITU regions, we encourage presentations
that highlight the on-going work on areas like:
Presentations will be chosen based on submitted abstracts (details and directions are provided in the CFP).
Submission of abstracts and presentations:
You can submit your abstract using the QMCC’11 submission page on easychair.
The final agenda will be announced on May 1st 2011.
Accommodation can be arranged via the CrownCom hotel page.
QMCC’11 is organised by the ICT Project “QoSMOS” which is supported by the European Commissions’ Framework Programme 7.
